Officers and agents from more than half a dozen agencies including the Jackson, Klamath and Siskiyou County Sheriff's Departments, OSP, Talent, Medford and Ashland police departments, and the FBI descended on properties in Talent and Ashland yesterday, searching for evidence in the David Grubbs murder investigation. In Talent, a search warrant was served at a residence on the corner of Rapp Road and Rapp Lane where a house, shed, barn and irrigation pond were searched. Police aren't saying what they may have found, or what prompted the searches other than they were following up on a tip. In Ashland, police searched a Southern Oregon University apartment on Wightman Street, and a vehicle there was seized and searched. The Ashland apartment is just a few blocks away from where Grubbs was brutally murdered on the bike path a year ago.
