11-21-12 OREGON SKI RESORTS TO OPEN THIS WEEKEND
Nov 21, 2012 -- 11:00amSeveral Oregon ski areas will be open in time for Thanksgiving. Timberline Ski Area on Mount Hood plans to open most of its lower mountain lifts today. Several chairlifts are expected to operate through the holiday period if weather permits. Mount Bachelor will open tomorrow. A foot of new snow has accumulated at the base in the past 24 hours and the mid-mountain base is 38 inches. Mount Hood Meadows will also open during the Thanksgiving weekend. Mt. Ashland is still waiting for more snow before they can open.
