A man is in custody after an early morning pursuit through downtown Medford. Police say 22-year-old Martin Mathew Derbigney spotted a Medford Police cruiser and sped away at a high rate of speed. He crashed his vehicle at the corner of 4th and Rose Avenue. Derbigney jumped from the vehicle, dropped a substantial amount of cash, and attempted to flee on foot. He was arrested a short time later and lodged in the Jackson County Jail. The investigation is continuing.
