A Central Point woman has been sentenced to nearly four years in prison after pleading guilty in a deadly traffic crash that killed one and injured several others last summer. Leta Jean Schroeder admitted to running a red light at Crater Lake Highway and Riverside Avenue and slamming into a work van. She then fled the scene. Schroeder was arrested about 14 hours later at a home in White City. In addition to prison time, Schroeder won't be allowed to drive for at least ten years, and she was ordered to pay more than $300,000 in restitution.
