Police in Eagle Point are looking into reports of inappropriate text messages that were allegedly sent from assistant coach to a student-athlete at the high school. Officials at the school have declined to officially comment on the case due to the police investigation and personnel issues. Reports of the incident began show up around the week of February 11. Police got involved a week later. Eagle Point Police Chief Vern Thompson said that because the investigation is in its early stages, he can't comment or release any details about the allegations at this point.
