4-5-13 MEDFORD CITY COUNCIL TO SPEND MORE THAN $200,000 ON EMERGENCY MANAGER

The city of Medford has approved more than $200,000 to hire an emergency manager who would be responsible for preparing the city for a major disaster, such as an earthquake. The city would shell out $145,000 for an annual salary and benefits, plus an additional $69,000 for materials and equipment. Scientents say that our region is long overdue for a major earthquake.
