4-10-13 DNA SOLVES BIG RESIDENTIAL BURGLARY

Apr 10, 2013 -- 12:03pm

DNA evidence helps the Jackson County Sheriffs Office solve a home burglary from late 2012.  That break-in on Agate Road in Eagle Point netted a big haul -  thousands of dollars in silver and collectible coins, a flat screen TV, and jewelry.  Suspects had drank from an orange juice container there, and left it behind. The state crime lab ran the DNA and got a hit on two suspects. 33-year old Ryan Bohnert of Central Point was already in jail on another burglary charge. He now has an additional burglary and theft charge, while the other suspect is still under investigation.
