A former psychiatrist for Jackson County is set to plead guilty today to charges alleging that he set booby traps on bike trails outside of Ashland in an attempt to injure riders. Jackson Tyler Dempsey was arrested last July and charged with assault and multiple counts of reckless endangerment after authorities say he strung nylon cords across trails and littered the paths with small trees and nails. Three mountain bike riders sustained minor injuries. Dempsey resigned from his position with the county shortly after his arrest.
